CompEx 12 Design and Application Engineers Core Competence Certification (Ex 12A & 12B)

Ex12 meets the competency requirements of IEC 60079-14 for Designers (design & selection)
Ex12A - Design of Non-Intrinsically Safe electrical equipment installations in explosive atmospheres; and
Ex12B - Design of Intrinsically Safe electrical equipment in explosive atmospheres.

  • Intrinsic Safety System Design – this is a very detailed part of the course

  • A review of a selection of electrical and I.S. equipment and systems

  • Documentation

 

The course includes four separate written exams (core paper, marking paper, design paper and standards paper) which take approximately seven hours in total.

Prerequisites

Electrical/instrumentation Designers & Engineers, Maintenance Engineers and Project Engineers working within hazardous areas.

We recommend completing the CompEx Foundation 1 Day Course as a prerequisite prior to attending this course.
