SVQ/MA in Management SCQF Level 7

Completion of the L7 SVQ provides clear evidence that a candidate works to Nationally recognised Occupational Standards.

The qualification is awarded by the SQA in partnership with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).  The CMI will provide candidates with 12 months FREE Studying Membership / Resources to assist them with their qualification.

The qualification can be completed electronically or via a paper-based method.  Candidates who wish to work towards a L7 Management Qualification can select the method that they prefer to achieve their qualification.

Work based qualification.

The L7 Management SVQ is made up of 7 units these are:

4 Mandatory Units:

• Develop Your Knowledge, Skills & Competence
• Lead Your Team
• Manage People’s Performance @ Work
• Provide Healthy, Safe, Secure & Productive Working Environments & Practices
  
  

Plus 3 additional Optional Units

As well as the above 7 SVQ Units, Modern Apprenticeship Candidates must also undertake the following:

• Core Skills @ Level 5 for ICT and Numeracy
• Plus an enhanced unit from any of the following sources:
• Further core skill @ a higher level
  or
• 1 unit from the SVQ @ SCQF Level 6 or above relevant to the candidates job role
  or
• 1 additional unit from the L7 Management SVQ

• Candidates must be employed where they are carrying out relevant tasks and responsibilities which allow them to gather the required evidence
• Candidates who wish to obtain a formal qualification.
• No prior qualifications are required to undertake this qualification.
