If you previously achieved the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations before Amendment 4 was introduced, you can complete our 1‑day Amendment 4 update course. This short course focuses solely on the changes introduced by Amendment 4 and allows you to update your knowledge efficiently and maintain compliance.

If you do not currently hold the 18th Edition you should enrol on our full 3‑day 18th Edition Course which provides comprehensive coverage of BS 7671 including Amendment 4.

Whichever route you choose completing one of these courses will ensure you are fully up to date with the latest Wiring Regulations requirements.

 

Following the launch of Amendment 4 on 15 April 2026, the updated Wiring Regulations may now be implemented for new electrical work. A transition period applies until 15 October 2026, after which Amendment 4 will become mandatory for all new installations.

This session focuses exclusively on the critical changes, including Stationary Secondary Batteries, Power over Ethernet (PoE), and ICT Earthing.

This course is aimed at competent electrical professionals, including electricians, engineers and site managers or anyone who requires up to date regulatory knowledge to support EICR sign‑off, client compliance, and insurance or audit requirements.

Certification

Upon successful completion, you will receive a Forth Valley College 18th Edition (Amendment 4) Update Certificate, demonstrating your commitment to safety standard compliance and professional competence.
