Electrical Safety

Please be aware this is a 5 day course in week one. Week two attendance is required for one day between Monday - Thursday to carry out the Practical Exam with a further Online Exam on the Friday morning. This qualification helps you to develop the knowledge and practical skills required to professionally carry out inspection and testing on electrical installations. This course was updated in November 2020 and is aimed at electricians or anyone else involved in maintenance and testing of electrical equipment. This qualification is designed for qualified electricians who want to develop their existing skills to include installation and maintenance of single electric vehicle charging units in domestic properties and small commercial premises.

BPEC has developed this course with the aim of providing electricians with the skills and knowledge required to install small scale photovoltaic (PV) systems. The course has been structured to meet the requirements of the National Occupational Standards and is recognised as a demonstration of competence for the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS).
