Conflict Resolution Skills
Conflict Resolution Skills
Description
Would I rather attend an event at which I don’t know anybody than tell a client some difficult news? Would I rather send back a bottle of wine in a restaurant than confront my boss's underperformance directly? Or would I do a parachute jump for the first time rather than address a problem with my team?
Well you are not on your own. Many managers report not feeling comfortable or equipped to address and deal with conflict in the workplace.
Rather than react to conflict on a purely emotional level, you can learn how to manage disputes and disagreements in a positive manner, or even (and more preferably) avoid them altogether. You can learn to critically evaluate conflict situations and choose the appropriate strategies and tools to manage and/or resolve them.
- Recognise the causes and stages of conflict
- Use a powerful technique for mapping conflict to enable and identify solutions
- Identify ways to develop flexible responses to both personal and professional conflicts
- Learn how to apply techniques, models and strategies to manage your communication and behaviours in conflict situations
This course is designed for those with direct line management responsibilities for Teams, including Heads of services, Departmental Managers, Supervisors and Team Leaders.
