CompEx Foundation PLUS is an extension of the CompEx Foundation course, incorporating additional practical training and assessments. As part of the national scheme focusing on training and certifying core competencies for individuals working with equipment in explosive atmospheres, this course sets a target for employees, recognized by the self-regulated sector as vital for Personnel Competency.

The CompEx Foundation qualification has been designed to provide an introduction into potentially explosive or flammable environments where gases, vapours and dust can form a hazardous atmosphere. This course is suitable for personnel who require an understanding of basic Ex principles, and trainee, newly qualified and practicing technicians, and non-technical on-site personnel who wish to develop their knowledge before undertaking more technical CompEx qualifications

CompEx 01-04 provides candidates with the relevant training and practical assessments on the installation, maintenance and inspection of electrical and instrumental systems in a flammable gas, vapour or mist environment. CompEx 11 Mechanical and Flange Integrity Core Competence Certification This CompEx Ex11 course determines the core competency of Mechanical Practitioners (Technicians & Engineers) working in explosive atmospheres. **Please note we recommend completing the CompEx Foundation 1 Day Course as a prerequisite prior to attending this course.**

All CompEx certified practitioners are required to recertify every 5 years. There are two routes for recertification for Gas and Vapours (Ex01 – Ex04).

CompEx 05-06 provides individual candidates with the relevant training and practical assessments on the installation, maintenance and inspection of electrical and instrumental systems in an environment where combustible dust may be present. **Please note we recommend completing the CompEx Foundation 1 Day Course as a prerequisite prior to attending this course.**

Competency Certificate for professional Application Design Engineers and Project Engineers who understands the risks associated with the correct design and selection of electrical installations for use in explosive atmospheres. **Please note we recommend completing the CompEx Foundation 1 Day Course as a prerequisite prior to attending this course.**

Please be aware this is a 5 day course in week one. Week two attendance is required for one day between Monday - Thursday to carry out the Practical Exam with a further Online Exam on the Friday morning. This qualification helps you to develop the knowledge and practical skills required to professionally carry out inspection and testing on electrical installations. Refresher for 18th Edition

The course material has been designed to meet the requirements of dedicated electrical energy storage systems (EESS) in accordance with the IET Code of Practice for Electrical Energy Storage Systems and the MCS Battery Standard MIS 3012. The installation of these EESS is work that can be carried out by competent, qualified operatives holding appropriate pre-requisite qualifications and the aim of the training course is to ensure individuals have the knowledge and required skills to carry out this work.
